On June 1st at Spring Canyon Park the Crushers and Bat Breakers (Powell 10u) played a very tight game that featured some big hits and outstanding defensive plays. Kendall Furrow and Jennah Thompson each had two hits for the Crushers. Savannah Warner stood out amongst the Crushers fielders due to her outstanding catch while playing 2nd base. Macy McKinney, Furrow, and Allison Siclair had solid pitching debuts, with Allison earning the game ball award for her performance.
The Crushers got off to a great start this season on May 27th at Beattie. Amelia Berg, Madison Williams and Gabby McDonald made strong pitching debuts. Danielle Browne reached base safely with two solid hits and a hit-by-pitch. Not surprisingly, eight batters were hit by pitches in this first game. Macy "Ball Magnet" McKinney was hit during both of her plate appearances! The game ball was awarded to Gabby McDonald, who faced four batters and struck out three of them to end the game. Thanks to the Bulldogs for their sportsmanship and a fun game.
