Kelly Foster is the owner/operator of Kelly Foster Pitching LLC, in Northern Colorado. She has been a Private Pitching Instructor since 2003. Kelly is a member of the NFCA, and has been on the Board of Advisors at U.S. Softball Academy since 2010.
Kelly has coached pitchers from ages 8-18, and has helped numerous pitchers achieve their collegiate softball dreams. She has placed pitchers in programs across the nation from the Junior College level, up to the Division 1 level.
Kelly played collegiate ball at Hofstra University, in Hempstead New York under stellar coach Bill Edwards (inducted into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association hall of fame in 2009). Kelly’s freshman year in the circle included big wins over Texas Tech and UCLA, with a 7-3 record. Her sophomore year in Conference play she was 8-1 with a .71 ERA, and threw 37.2 consecutive innings without an earned run, ending that season 12-7.
Kelly then continued her collegiate career at the University of Louisville, in Kentucky. Her 2 years at UofL were riddled with injury and she never saw the mound. That is when Kelly started to focus on her coaching career instead.
Kelly (Blois) Foster grew up playing softball in the state of Colorado. Her senior year of high school she posted a .67 era with 211 strikeouts and a 22-4 record to win the CHSSA 5A state Championship at Fort Collins High School. She was Colorado 5A Pitcher of the year, Colorado 5A Player of the year and State Championship Tournament MVP.
Kelly owns her own private pitching facility located just outside of Severance, giving her the flexible schedule she couldn’t get giving lessons at a publically owned facility. This also gives her the ability to keep her pitching rates reasonable, making her accessible to more pitchers.
Kelly resides in Eaton, Colorado with her husband and her daughter.
