SOFTBALL EXPERIENCE:
Age 13- Pitched for the Jones Beach New York Mens' Major League for 25 years. During this time I was also hired by various teams to pitch for other leagues and also for tournament play. I pitched an average of 10 games per week during this time for a total of over 5000 games.
Age 14- Was the winning pitcher for the “18 & under” NYC Police Athletic League championship.
Age 15- Pitched for independent team called the “Central Park Rats.” There was adult betting on these games and we had an unbeaten record for three years.
Age 17- Pitched for the Lindenhurst, NY “Sailors” during which time I pitched with and against well- known pitchers such as Ritchie Surhoff, Roy Stephenson, and Herb Dudley.
Age 23- Joined the U.S. Air Force. I pitched for four years on an Air Force team playing in tournaments across the United States.
Age 42- S.W. Colorado. I pitched for the Durango Fire Department Team in the Durango Mens' Fastpitch league. We finished the season undefeated.
Age 48- Granby, Co. I pitched in the men's Fastpitch League in Granby, Grand Lake and Walden for two years.
Age 53 -Fort Collins, Co. I pitched in the Mens' Fastpitch League for two years. I formed the first co- ed fastpitch team to compete in the Mens' Fastpitch League.
Age 57- I coached the Girls' Fastpitch team with the Buckaroos Organization for “12&under” and 14&under” teams for several years.
Age 60 – I became an independent coach teaching fastpitch pitching skills. I also worked as a pitching coach for Poudre High School, The Fort Collins Stars Organization, the Loveland Rage Organization and the Thompson Valley High School Girls’ Fastpitch Team.
Age 63 – I pitched in the Fort Collins Mens' Fastpitch League.
Age 69 – I worked with Western Nebraska Jr. College, University of Wyoming and the University of Northern Colorado women's fastpitch softball programs.
Age 70 Loveland, Co. Built my own facility and have been teaching fastpitch pitching, hitting, game strategy and life lessons to girls’ ages 8-22 years old.
Age 75 – I am still teaching, sometimes many as 50 girls a week. I have taught over 600 students, many of whom have gone on the college on softball scholarships.
